Inspiration
"I've always been keen to understand what Literature is really all about, how it works,
what its true purpose is. Early heroes such as Kafka gave me the impetus to
understand what made them such great and diverse writers.
Despite that, I still harboured a disturbing notion that the modern approach to writing and Literature somehow managed to avoid deeper questions."
Progress To Date
For over 20 years we have been developing our understanding of alternativeShakespeare.
In that time we have written and performed Shakespeare sequels, plays
focusing on his life, and plays exploring aspects of his craft.
The result is an Alternative methodology that seeks to keep the legacy he left us a living legacy.

Working through his plays has given us a great insight into the creative minds of writers.
With that came the realisation that most major writers work out of a continuum.
Applying the alternative approach to great writers continues to produce a rich vein of insights.
Current Focus
We are in the process of adapting our plays to work in the digital arena on YouTube.
This requires upgrading videos of our alternativeShakespeare performances,
creating eduVideos, and making our work Social Media friendly.

alternativeShakespeare-Books
Progress To Date
Our first foray was to give our first play, Time after Time, a narrative style.
How to turn a play into a book prompted a series of workshops, which
led to a narrative style we call the Chorus Voice.
The main objective was to retain as much of what Theatre offers in the form of a book.
This mainly centred around using the play dialogue, and deciding things such as the
book's POV, the 'voice' that was going to used, and making sure the visual elements
that the audiences saw on stage were incorporated into the narrative.
This now available on Amazon.

With that came the realisation that most major writers work out of a continuum. Working in
that continuum, and applying the alternative approach continues to produce
a rich vein of insights for other possible books.
Current Focus
alt-Kafka has been on the boil for some while and has led to a re-write of his eponymous work, Metamorphosis. In time want to serialise our version of Metamorphosis,
to be broadcast soon in our new Podcast.
We are also refocusing our alternative approach to other writers of Literature.
